We are looking for someone who is confident in their clinical and musical skills, is a team-player, is organized, and who has experience in treating individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health disorders. We are looking for someone who can commit to a minimum of one-year of service.

 

About Infinity

Infinity was founded in 2010. We currently have a team of six music therapists and two music teachers. Infinity believes in working hand in hand with families and agencies to build customized treatment plans for individuals and adults. We work in private homes, schools, group homes, treatment centers, and more throughout the state of Connecticut. We celebrate and support the continuing education and self-care of our staff.

 

About Our Open Position

Position 1: 20-25 hours/ week based primarily in New London and Windham Counties; growing to 40 hours

This position will report to our Southington clinic 1-2 times/week. We have additional hours available for the right therapist who has experience with video editing and knows the ins and outs of social media.

Salary: Competitive salary based upon experience

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, hours vary based upon client needs, therapists are paid even during client cancellations

Responsibilities: Our staff music therapists provide group and individual music therapy sessions, teach music lessons, and provide music enrichment services. Our therapists are responsible for maintaining accurate data and sessions notes, completing treatment plans, designing and implementing interventions, communicating with clients and the Infinity team, and other tasks as assigned. Applicants must be able to communicate effectively in English and be prompt at returning emails, calls, and texts. This position will include travel.

Number of Positions: 2; one position is approximately 30hrs with a primary caseload in Southern New Haven and Fairfield counties, one position is approximately 40hrs with a caseload based in East Central CT.

Job Description: Staff music therapists are responsible for assessing individuals and groups, writing treatment reports, maintaining sessions, providing stellar sessions, and working with the Infinity team as well as our teams in the community to design comprehensive music therapy programs. Staff music therapists will work in schools, homes, and facilities as assigned and must be comfortable moving between individual and team environments. Staff therapists participate in marketing events, professional development days, and other events. Travel is required to our clients. Staff therapists will also attend weekly staff meetings to discuss agency and client topics, attend and conduct trainings, and participate in self-care projects.
Experience/Requirements: Applicants must be board certified music therapists in good standing or be able to obtain their board certification within thirty (30) days of hire. Applicants must have experience working with children and adults with developmental disabilities and mental health disorder. Applicants should have strong verbal and written communication skills, be able to work both independently and as a member of a team, have strong music skills, and be creative in their treatment planning.

Infinity Music Therapy Services: Part Time Music Therapist Needed For Growing Private Practice in CT

Infinity Music Therapy Services is seeking the next team member for a creative team of board certified music therapists. This position includes traveling to clients throughout the state to provide group and individual music therapy services to a diverse clientele. Applicants should be able to accommodate a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings, have a great personality, strong written and clinical skills, and are creative and innovative with their interventions. We are looking for a therapist who can easily transition from being highly independent to functioning as a true member of a team, who can professionally communicate ideas, and who is quick to respond to emails, texts, and phone calls.

Applicants MUST have experience working with individuals diagnosed with developmental disabilities AND individuals diagnosed with mental health disorders. Recent grads will be considered with excellent references. Spanish speaking and training in music therapy assisted childbirth preferred but not essential. We would prefer an applicant who has experience in web design or video editing.

Hours: This position is full time  with hours either running from Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday based upon the needs of the practice at the time of hire.

Compensation: Part time and full time positions are salaried, salary boe and hours upon hire
