Music Therapist
24 Hours per week, .6FTE with benefits
Potential for additional hours with grant funding
Responsible for developing, implementing, modifying, and evaluating music therapy services designed to restore, maintain, or improve cognitive, physical, emotional, and social function of infants, children, teens, and young adults and their families, pertinent to units assigned within Pediatrics through the Child Life Department.
The music therapist is required to work independently and collaboratively to make complex decisions in the development, implementation, and modification of patient treatment plans; selecting, applying music therapy principles, techniques, and methods to achieve outcomes in a diverse pediatric population. The therapist must provide a clear and concise summary of patient’s status. Provides educational experiences to students, volunteers, staff, and others.
