Are you a professional music therapist in New England who is interested in volunteering on the NER-AMTA board? If so, please contact NER President Adrienne Flight at president@neramta.org with questions and to explore opportunities.
Here are the current positions that we are looking to fill:
NER representative to AMTA’s Clinical Practice Networking Committee: Provide coordination for networking and mentoring opportunities for practitioners working in a range of settings and with different populations, and foster communication between committees and with professionals in related fields. The candidate must be a professional AMTA member with two years of experiences, and would plan to attend all AMTA conferences, as this is where meetings take place.
NER Pay It Forward Committee Member: Work with the region’s membership representative to organize, advertise, and carry out the Pay It Forward annual campaign. The goal is to help NER members with the cost of professional AMTA membership. This position does not require attendance at AMTA national conferences, but does require attendance at NER regional conferences.
NER Financial Committee Member: Fundraising to allow NER to continue providing its Membership Support Program. This position is ideal for you if you are confident interfacing with vendors, restaurants, a creative thinker, and are comfortable tracking fundraised dollars and reporting back to NER’s treasurer.
NER Representative to the Music Therapy Informed Music Listening Workgroup: Workgroup provides support to music therapists for incorporating, consulting for, and educating about music listening programming for all populations. Representative will share information about music listening resources through AMTA web pages, an online CMTE course, and presentations at conferences. Attendance at national AMTA conferences is notrequired but is preferred.
Best,
Adrienne Flight MMT, MT-BC
