Accomplishments since April 2011
· International Service Project
o According to last year’s notes, NER-AMTAS was planning on doing a service project in South Africa. We ran into some issues that made us decide to alter our plans to ensure that we would have a successful experience.
o NER-AMTAS was offered the opportunity to return to the Cayman Islands this past summer 2011 for another international service project with Lesley University graduate and founder of Cayman Music Therapy, Julianne Parolisi.
o 6 NER-AMTAS students organized and coordinated a summer music therapy camp for children with special needs called, Beat the Heat. The trip was completely fundraised by the students with the help of the New England Region.

Students from Anna Maria College, Berklee College of Music, and Lesley University had the opportunity to get to know one another over food and music. It was a great success!
