HOURS: 2 hours/week
COMPENSATION: Commensurate with experience, $75 – $100 per hour

LOCATION: Littleton Academy, 22 King Street, Littleton, MA
Groton Hill Music Center is the premier nonprofit organization in the region for outstanding music education, professional performances, and community engagement programs. Our Community Engagement division is partnering with Littleton Academy, a therapeutic residential school that provides comprehensive clinical treatment and education to latency age boys and girls who have a history of complex trauma and significant behavioral/mental health issues and learning difficulties.
PRIMARY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
The role involves small group therapeutic music instruction and/or therapy for 2 hours per week. The instructor will be granted significant leeway in the nature of the instruction and how it is delivered.
Groton Hill Music Center offers many ancillary benefits to our faculty members, including a variety of paid professional performance opportunities and funding for professional development (by application). Regular weekly teaching throughout the school year is required, as is attendance at an annual August faculty meeting and the completion of occasional clerical tasks including reporting of hours taught for payroll purposes. Timeliness and reliability, as well as strong communication practices with both students/families and school staff, are essential.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ideal candidates should have a degree in music performance, education, and/or Music Therapy, and a demonstrated history of experience relevant to this particular type of role.
The ability to reliably and consistently travel to – and arrive on time at – Littleton Academy which may not be readily accessible by public transportation is essential.
