The candidate must be able to effectively communicate with other professionals, conduct assessments, plan, organize, lead music therapy sessions, document and evaluate progress toward individualized, co-created goals. Compensation alloted for travel and weekly supervision. Allowances for continuing education, supplies and instrument purchases, and mileage reimbursement (in addition to travel pay).

Qualifications: Candidates must be board-certified or be eligible to sit for board certification exam and will be given a time requirement to pass MT-BC exam upon hire. Primary experience in early childhood and with elementary school-aged children, with the ability to adapt to a variety of settings and clients in caseload. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency of clinical musicianship on piano, guitar, voice and rhythmic improvisation.
Expected Caseload: This position comes with a 15 hour caseload working primarily with children under the age of eight in a variety of settings including: preschool music enrichment, caregiver-child music enrichment, and individual and group sessions with children under 8. Candidates may also be asked to work with older clients and clients in behavioral health settings. Although current clinical hours are with young children, the candidate must have flexibility and experience with other ages and settings as we work with many community facilities and have referrals for all ages and needs.
